What We Fund

The Friends funding prioritizes provides targeted

funding to expand access.

This past year, the Miami-Dade Public Library System was able to meet the demand for the Homework Help and Tutoring Program across all 50 branch locations due to grant support provided by the Friends. The Friends also provided funding for the Mobile Device Lending program. 

The Friends facilitates grants that support enhancements in existing branches such as the Brick Campaign and the future Children's Reading Room at Key Biscayne. 

Each year, the Friends gives a significant unrestricted gift raised through fundraising. This supports the area of most need within the library system.
