Service hour volunteer opportunities offer a flexible way to support the Friends’ mission and give back to the Library. Whether assisting at events, programs, or community initiatives, each hour helps strengthen library services and engagement across Miami-Dade.
As our most flexible role, event volunteers have no ongoing commitment or minimum hours. Most shifts are two to four hours.
Typical opportunities:
You'll receive event reminders, shift details, and day-of instructions through POINT, our volunteer scheduling
system. If the event requires a waiver, you can sign it electronically when you register.
First time volunteering?
A team lead will be on site to point you to your station and answer questions. You don't need to know anything in advance.
