The Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library welcome dedicated volunteers to serve on our committees, which provide ongoing leadership and support for our mission. Opportunities are available in Advocacy, Community Engagement, Communications, Development, Finance, and Governance. Committee members contribute their expertise, time, and passion to advance the work of our libraries and the communities they serve.

Promotes awareness and support for the Library by engaging local decision-makers.

Runs marketing including digital communications, social media, and event promotion.
Connects our community through events, socials, and librarian appreciation efforts.

Builds donor relationships, plans fundraising events, and strengthens community giving programs.

Oversees financials by managing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and investment strategies.

Stewards board development, evaluates policies and bylaws, and supports effective, transparent decision-making.
