Trustees of the Friends of MDPLS are volunteers, drawn from the community at large, with a passion for furthering the Friends’ mission! They do this in three ways: Awareness, Advocacy, and Fundraising. The fully staffed Board of Trustees will have 12 members, each focusing on one of our pillars, in line with their areas of interest and expertise.
The Friends are actively looking for Trustees to focus on developing our Awareness and Fundraising programs specifically:
Volunteers interested in raising Awareness of the Friends’ mission should have a background in marketing and communications. Experience with CRM, content creation, social media and event planning are welcome.
Volunteers interested in Fundraising for the Friends’ mission should ideally have experience in corporate or non-profit fundraising, such as creating a fundraising plan, identifying donors, writing proposals, executing campaigns, and evaluating performance against goals.
